Ellembelle DCE cuts sod for construction of school at Atababo and Bobrama

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for the Ellembelle district in the Western region, Joseph Agyekum, has cut sod for the construction of school infrastructure for the good people of Atababo and Bobrama in the district to improve access to quality education.

With the Ellembelle MP's support, the DCE cut the sod for a six-unit classroom block to be built at Bobrama and a three-unity classroom block to be constructed at Atababo D/A Junior High School.

The two communities are expected to benefit from staff common rooms, ICT centers, toilet facilities, borehole water, offices for headmasters, and among others.

The new classroom blocks when completed will be equipped with furniture.

Speaking at the official and short sod cutting ceremony over the weekend, the Ellembelle DCE, Joseph Agyekum commended the MP for the area, Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah for his continued support to the development of the district.

"This remarkable achievement reflects honorable Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah's unwavering commitment to empowering and championing better education infrastructure in the district. By facilitating access to quality education opportunities, he continues to show his dedication to the welfare and future of his people, we are grateful to him", the DCE.

He called on the community folks to rally behind the contractors to complete the projects on time.

He also appealed to the contractors to engage some of the youth in the construction work.

He commended teachers in these deprived areas for putting up their best in ensuring pupils over there take their education serious.

Joseph Agyekum who became an economist teacher in the district, motivated and advised the pupils in the district to focus on their education than to waste their time in unproductive things that could jeopardize their future.

He promised to work closely with the MP to ensure more trained teachers were posted into the deprived communities in the district to provide quality education for children in those areas.

He, therefore, appealed to the chiefs and residents in the two communities to support the district, the MP and President John Dramani Mahama to develop the Ellembelle district assembly.

The chiefs and also the staff of these two beneficiary communities thanked the DCE and his MP for the project and pledged to support the contractors to complete the projects on time.
