The Golden Height Foundation (GHF), a non-governmental organisation, has donated learning materials to pupils in two communities in the Central Region as part of efforts to promote quality education and bridge resource gaps in underserved schools.

A total of 135 backpacks containing pens, pencils, erasers and sharpeners were distributed to pupils of Effutu Kokoado Basic School, and English/Arabic Basic School at Dehia. Thirty-five pupils from Kokoado and 100 from Dehia benefited from the support.

The event brought together education officials, headteachers, teachers, pupils, and community members, and highlighted the importance of equitable access to basic learning materials.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Director of GHF, Dr. Mrs. Mavis Opoku Boadu, said the exercise was aimed at supporting pupils who lack essential school supplies. She noted that the intervention forms part of the Foundation’s Golden Reach 2026 initiative, which seeks to invest in the long-term development of children in disadvantaged communities.
