E. P. Preparatory School celebrates second anniversary

Accra, Aug. 10, GNA - Mrs Vida Aku Shika Dzobo, wife of the former Moderator of the E.P. Church, Ghana, has called on parents to invest in the education of their children. She said education played an important role in every sphere of the economy and that investing in it would go a long way to improve the living conditions of parents in the near future. Mrs Dzobo made the call at the Second Anniversary Celebration and the First Graduation of the E.P. Preparatory School at Adenta in Accra at the weekend.

The celebration, which was under the theme; "Education, the Best Legacy for Development," saw four pupils graduating. Mrs Dzobo asked parents to desist from insulting their children, which she said, affected their mental development.

She praised the church for establishing the school and advised the teachers to be diligent to maintain the good name of the school. Madam Annie Mortty, Head-teacher of the school, said the school, which was established in 2007 with two pupils, now had 74 pupils. She appealed to parents to work hand in hand with the school authorities to enhance effective teaching and learning. The Reverend D.Y. Bruce, Adenta District Pastor of the Church, called on the graduating pupils to take their lessons seriously to enable them to achieve their avowed aims.
