Dormaa Traditional areas get new Dompemhene

Dormaa-Ahenkro (B/A) Feb. 23, GNA - Osagyefo Oseadeyo Agyemang Badu II, Omanhene (Paramount chief) of the Dormaa Traditional Area, has expressed gratitude for the prudent efforts by the Dormaa Traditional Council in resolving chieftaincy problems undermining the development of the area.

He called for consensus building to nip in the bud any problem likely to undermine the peace and security of the area. Osagyefo Badu expressed these views when Mr Victor Kwame Kyeremeh Adomah, 59, Senior Manager in charge of the Cantonments branch of Ghana Telecom in Accra sworn the oath as Dompemhene ( Sub-Chief) before him, under the stool name Nana Ampaabeng Kyeremeh Sikafuo.

He commended the kingmakers for the peaceful manner they conducted themselves in choosing a successor to the vacant stool following the death of the previous chief Nana Boakye, last year.

Nana Ampaabeng pledged to cooperate with his colleagues on the Council for the accelerated development of the area.

He called on the people to eschew all political, religious and traditional differences and to unite for progress.
