Dormaa Secondary PTA to finance School projects

Dormaa-Ahenkro (B/A), July 23, GNA- The Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) of Dormaa Secondary School is to undertake a number of development projects to help improve facilities in the school. The projects, estimated at more than 800 million cedis, include the construction of a girls' dormitory, urinals, and the provision of mono desks, beds, toilets and financing of vacation classes for some students.

Mr Chou-En-Lai Paul Ankamah, an educationalist and chairman of the PTA, said this at the association's annual meeting on Tuesday. He expressed concern about indiscipline among students and called on parents and guardians to help change the trend.

Mrs. Akua Debrah, Acting Brong-Ahafo Regional Director of Education, was not satisfied with immoral behaviour among students and called on PTAs and school authorities to take disciplinary measures against offending students.

Mr. Alex Baah-Boffah, Headmaster of the School, said the Board of Directors, had endorsed the dismissal of two male students and one female student for immoral behaviour. He commended Osagyefo Oseadeeye Agyeman Badu II, Omanhene of Dormaa Traditional Area, for providing the school with 200 bags of cement towards the construction of the girls' dormitory.
