Disappearance of regalia lands three in court

Ajumako, Jan 19, GNA - The Ajumako community tribunal has remanded three persons from Enyan Main in the Central Regional for their alleged involvement in the disappearance of the Enyan Main paramount stool regalia. They are Kwame Anoo, 65, custodian of the regalia and flags, Tufuhene of the town Nana Arthur, 75, and Asafo Supi Atta, 60. No charge has yet been preferred against the suspects.

Mr Justice A.A. Asiedu, Presiding over the case, said the action of the court was to afford the police enough time to conduct investigation into the case to enable them to prepare appropriate charges against the suspects. The prosecution said the disappearance of the regalia and flags was discovered by leaders of the two Asafo companies in the traditional area four months ago.
