General Manager of Digicut Production and Advertising Company Limited, a member of Groupe Nduom (GN), Mr. Richmond Lankwei Lamptey, has urged pupils of Volta River Authority (VRA) Complex 1&2 Junior High School and Kokonor Junior High School in Akosombo, Eastern Region, to work hard to become successful in life.

Speaking to about 320 pupils including teachers, executives of the School’s Parents Teachers’ Association and the District Director of Education for Asuogyaman, Mr. Lamptey stressed that everyone can be successful in life “even you!”

According to him, where one was born and bred does not matter in becoming successful in life.

However, he pointed out that what matters is what one does with what he or she has.

Using his life as an example, Mr. Lamptey said while growing up he was determined to make it to the top through a dint of hard work.

“Success is measured according to how you see the world around you and how you want to operate in it,” the GM of Digicut Production and Advertising Company Limited indicated.

Mr. Lamptey, who is also the GM of Spyder Lee Entertainment, another subsidiary of GN, used the occasion to donate some stationeries to the pupils, particularly the final year pupils, who were about to write their examination.

The donation, according to him, is to help the final year pupils in their studies.

Mrs. Rachel Lamptey, wife of Mr. Lamptey, also donated copies of her yet-to-be released maiden gospel album titled: ‘Alive Today,’ to the teachers and education officers who were present at the event.

The final year pupils on their part were excited by the gesture and thus thanked Mr. and Mrs. Lamptey.

They promised to make him (Mr. Lamptey) proud by performing well in their final examinations.

For her part, the District Director of Education, Ms. Mavis Oparebea Yirenkyi, encouraged, especially the final year pupils, to learn very hard towards their examinations, adding that “success comes with hard work.”

The Deputy Director, Supervisor and Monitoring, Mr. Prosper Yekple, who taught Mr. Lamptey in his formative years, was very proud to see one of his pupils excel in life.

Also present at the event were two Circuit Supervisors—Mr. Fred Sakyi Kwafo and Mr. Albert Agbeko Alorbu.

Mr. Lamptey was invited by the Asuogyaman District Education Office because he had most of his pre-university education in Akosombo.
