Deputy Minister visits Brepaw

Brepaw (E/R), August 21, GNA- The Deputy Eastern Regional Minister, Mr Gustav Narh Dometey, has described the New Patriotic Party )NPP) as a party which does not encourage conflicts.

He, therefore, appealed to Ghanaians to put their differences behind them and rally behind the government to move the nation forward. Mr Dometey said even though the party is only three years old in power one can say it is really doing well as far as development of the country is concerned.

The Deputy Minister said this on Wednesday when he visited the Brepaw Kpeti electoral area, near Asesewa in the Eastern Region. He expressed regret that out of the 15 Districts in the Eastern Region the Upper Manya District is the least developed district because it lacks the basic amenities like schools, clinics, and electricity. The Yilo Krobo District Chief Executive, Sub-Lt Christian Tetteh (RTD), said a cassava factory will soon be established in the Eastern Region.

The Assembly member for Brepaw, Theopilus Teye Dapaa, expressed his appreciation to the government for the efforts made to improve and sustain the country's economy. He appealed for a permanent structure for the local junior secondary school.
