Dagaaba youth urged to live upright lives

Kumasi, Jan 17, GNA- The Dagaaba chief in the Ashanti Region has appealed to the youth of Dagaaba in the region to live upright lives and desist from acts that could project a negative image of their tribe. They should also work hard to improve their living standards and contribute to the development of the communities in which they live. Naa Franklin Sautali, chief of Dagaabas in the Ashanti Region, made the call at the annual get-together of Dagaabas in the region at Adoato in Kumasi.

Naa Sautali said the registration of all Dagaaba's in the region was to enable the Council of Elders know where they stay, their work, hometown and other information which might be of important to the council.

He said the data would also assist the council to determine the kind of programmes and activities to be developed especially for the youth and the services that needed to be rendered to members. Naa Sautali entreated all Dagaabas to register to enable them benefit from all activities.

He commended the members of the Council of Elders for their dedicated service to the people and urged the ward and community chairmen to encourage members in their communities to send their children to school.
