Dadekotopon MP saves La Presby SHS from writing exams in batches

The timely donation of mono desks to the La Presbyterian Senior High School by the La Dadekotopon Member of Parliament, saved the students from another embarrassing situation of sitting exams in batches this year.

Assistant Head Mistress of the School in charge of academic, Ms Regina Sapaty, who told journalists, said the students had for some time now been writing their exams in batches where some sit under the trees to wait for their turn because of lack of enough classrooms and furniture.

She was speaking to journalists on Thursday, when the MP Nii Amasah Namoale officially presented 150 mono desks he donated to the school few days before the students started their terminal exams.

“In fact, the desks have come to save us greatly, especially also when the West African Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) is just about to commence,” she said.

Currently the Management of the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) is constructing some classroom blocks for the school, which when completed would largely solve the infrastructural problem, but the Assistant Head was of the view the pace of constriction was too slow.

Nii Amasah Namoale, who was retained in the just ended general parliamentary poll, said the funds for the donation came from his portion of the GETfund and stressed his commitment towards educational development in the constituency.

The MP had earlier donated another 150 mono desks to the school towards the addressing the problem.
