DCE commissions three classroom blocks

Twifo Pepekrom (C/R), Sept. 17, GNA - Mr Joseph Foster Andoh, the District Chief Executive for Twifo-Hemang-Lower-Denkyira, has appealed to parents to give priority to their children's education. Mr Andoh was inaugurating a three-classroom block, office and a store estimated at GH¢55,388.78 for Twifo Pepekrom D/A Primary School. The facility was funded by Twifo-Hemang-Lower-Denkyira District Assembly and the Community Based Rural Development Project (CBRDP). Mr Andoh said the government was committed to giving quality education to Ghanaians and had since its assumption of office, built 12 schools in the district.

On the upcoming National Population and Housing Census exercise, Mr Andoh appealed to the chiefs and people of the area to cooperate with census officials to ensure its success. Mr John Degraft Odoom, the District Director of Education, said he would give the school two computers as soon as the school gets electricity.

Mr Andoh also inaugurated a GH¢160,000 teacher's bungalow built by the assembly with support from World Vision, Ghana, for the Twifo Afiaso D/A Primary School.
