Coronavirus fear: Tamale Masjid Bayaan halts congregational prayers

The leader of the Masjidul Bayaan Mosque, his eminence Sheik Ibrahim Basha, last night, March 17th, 2020 suspended all congregational prayers till further notice.

This he said is to help protect the general public from the deadly pandemic coronavirus which is currently a global issue.

The call came after the chief imam issued a communique calling on all Muslims to put to hold all congressional prayers due to the coronavirus fear.

Sheikh Bayaan, who is the leader of Masjidul Bayaan Mosque Bayaan in Tamale, admonished the general public especially Muslims to adhere to this directive in other for Allah to protect them.

He also advised the general public to follow the directives, guidelines, and protocol issued by the specialized body on what to do and what not to do in other to stay safe.

He added that it is a sin according to Islamic laws to disobey state orders and therefore call on all Muslims to hearken to the chief imam directives.

Meanwhile, other Islamic leaders in the metropolis are yet to issued official communication with regard to this issue.
