Christians in Bolgatanga mark Easter

Bolgatanga, March 21, GNA - Christians in Bolgatanga on Friday poured in their numbers on various locations in the Municipality and took solemn processions signifying Jesus Christ's sacrifice to redeem the sins of mankind.

The Christians, who wore red and black dresses, converged at separate points and said a prayer before going back to their individual churches for worship.

At the OLA Catholic Parish, Father James Ekudi, asked Christians to practice the faith of Christ by sharing with the poor, sick and homeless, adding that by so doing they would be emulating Jesus Christ and also gain much blessing from God. At the Fountain Gate Chapel, Reverend Alexander Adams explained that Christ Sacrificed himself by using his blood to cleanse the sin of mankind and to save mankind. According to him, Christians could also exhibit this example of Christ by using the Easter festivity period to forgive one another since no human was perfect.

At the Sacred Heart Cathedral, the Assistant Cathedral Administrator, Christopher Adombila stated that God gave love to everybody, irrespective of status and entreated Christians to also show love to one another irrespective of tribe, religion, colour, age and to live in peace.
