Christian mothers give to the physically-challenged

A Christian Mothers’ Organization within the Bantama Methodist Church, Susanna Wesley Mission Auxiliary (SUWMA), has presented assorted gifts in support of the upkeep of students at the Offinso Training Centre for the Physically Challenged.

These include pieces of wax prints, boxes of soap, crutches, body cream, underwear, cartons of cream milk, a bag each of rice, sugar, gari and beans, large quantity of toothpaste, drinking cups, biscuits and used clothing.

Mrs. Agnes Adu-Gyamfi, President of the Association, said it was their contribution towards helping to make things a bit comfortable for the trainees.

“As Christian mothers, we are enjoined by our faith to show love and generosity to the less fortunate and the socially-disadvantaged,” she said.

She said they were confident that the gifts would help to bring some joy to them, as they joined the rest of the world to celebrate the Christmas season.

Mr. Barimah Antwi, the Director of the Centre, said they were grateful for the gesture, describing it as not only timely but a welcomed relief.
