Christian Community Microfinance donates to Nsawam hospital

Christian Community Microfinance Limited (CCML) has donated a 5-seater Biofil place of convenience at the old Nsawam hospital.

The construction of the Biofil facility was fully funded and overseen by CCML and is part of the financial institution’s corporate social responsibility projects directed towards community development.

A press release issued to the Ghana News Agency on Wednesday in Accra, said, Mrs. Mary Mariamah Armah, General Manager Corporate Affairs CCML, who commissioned the facility, was elated to be handing over the facility to the people of Nsawam.

She said “Like our slogan- ‘beyond finance, uncommon life’, we ensure that beyond the provision of financial solutions in the areas of savings, loans, investments and business development to the general public, we are affecting lives positively.”

The statement said Mr Mark Dompreh, Municipal Chief Executive of Nsawam lauded CCML for the kind gesture to the hospital and the people of Nsawam. He expressed the hope that the hospital staff will see to the maintenance of the facility.

Mr. Frank Aboagye, on behalf of the Member of Parliament for Nsawam Adoagiri, thanked CCML and called on other corporate bodies and stakeholders to follow suit.

He emphasized that it cannot always be government or the office of the MP undertaking projects but rather a concerted effort from the general public and the direct stakeholders.

The CCML started in 1979 as the Ecumenical Church Loan Fund (ECLOF) by ECLOF International (Switzerland) and the Christian Council of Ghana (CCG) with the aim of helping society and members the Church.

After a series of transition as an institution and extending its focus to the general public, the company became Christian Community Microfinance Limited (CCML), a bank of Ghana licensed deposit taking microfinance institution in 2012 and wholly owned by the Christian Council of Ghana.

The CCML has a 36-year financial history in the provision of uncommon financial services and solutions - credit, savings, investments and small business development. The company has always directly impacted its operational communities as part of its social performance programming vision which is geared towards community development.
