Child Maintnance Issues Flood Techiman CHRAJ Offices

The Commission on Human Rights and Administration Justice (CHRAJ) has declared that the issue of child maintenance is on the increase in the Techiman district.

According to statistics collated at the end of the first quarter of the year by the commission, there were 30 issues relating to maintenance of children recorded out of the total number of one hundred and sixteen cases brought before the commission.

The District Director Kwasi Asante Boateng who made this known said the figure represents 34.8 per cent of the cases with other issues representing 65.2 per cent of all reported cases.

According to him, 75 cases of the 116 were successfully resolved including 25 others which came over from last year.

Forty cases are still pending, with 10 withdrawn to be settled at home.
