Chiefs calls for unity of purpose and development

Manso-Keniago (Ash), Aug. 28, GNA - The new chief of Manso-Keniago, Nana Owusu Yamoah Bediako III, has appealed to his people to help him to speed up development in the area now that the 14-year chieftaincy dispute had been resolved by the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II. "We are lagging behind in terms of development as a result of the dispute and if by the grace of God, the Asantehene has resolved it amicably for us, let us forgive one another and work together as a people with one destiny to develop the area". Addressing a press conference at Keniago on Wednesday Nana Bediako, who swore an oath of allegiance to the Asantehene last Monday, thanked all the chiefs, friends and loved ones who supported him to ascend to the stool.

He said his immediate priority would be education and this would be followed by collaboration with non-governmental organizations to establish local industries to create job for the youth.
