Nkoranza (B/A), Jan. 13, GNA - Nana Yaw Agyemang, chief of Pruso in the Nkoranza District of Brong-Ahafo has warned his people against fishing with poisonous chemicals in the River Pru.

Nana Agyemang noted with concern at a press conference on Thursday that the youth were most guilty of the practice during the dry season and explained that the practice destroyed the young fishes. He warned that perpetrators would be arrested and prosecuted to serve as a deterrent to other like-minded persons.

The chief advised the people to be very careful in handling naked fire in the area to prevent the outbreak of bushfires.
