Chief urges youth to avoid casual sex

Nana De-Frank Andoh, Obaatan of Gomoa Akroful near Agona Swedru on Friday cautioned the youth against casual sex in order to reduce the spread of HIV/AIDS.

He also asked individuals, parents and organisations to assist government in its efforts at educating the public on the dangers of the disease.

Nana Andoh was speaking at the end-of-year review meeting with members of the Twidan family to discuss matters affecting their welfare at Gomoa Akroful.

He advised the youth to abstain from pre-marital sex and urged marriage couples to be faithful to their partners in order to avoid contracting the disease.

Nana Andoh noted that the Bomoa District was underdeveloped due to high illiteracy rate and urged parents to assist their children to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills needed for national development.

He reminded parent that it was their responsibility to provide their children with food, shelter and clothing to enhance their development
