Alhaji Nuru Amadu, Greater Accra Regional Chief of Moshie Yadega, has called on Zongo youth to eschew violence and comport themselves to ensure the rapid development of the Zongo communities.

He said the peaceful atmosphere, which was currently prevailing in the country needed to be maintained and it was imperative that the youth resisted any attempt by a political party to use them to cause mayhem in the country. The Chief of Moshie Yadega was speaking to Ghana News Agency in an interview in Accra on Sunday.

He said as part of measures to ensure peace at all times, the leadership of the Moshie Yadega would be organising public education in the various Zongo communities in the region to sensitise the youth on the need to embrace peace.

Alhaji Amadu also urged the youth to be law-abiding citizens and contribute their quota to the socio-economic development of the nation.

He also urged them to take education seriously and go into productive ventures to better their standards of living.

Alhaji Amadu appealed to candidates taking the Basic Education Certificates Examinations (BECE) to desist from all forms of examination malpractices so that they would achieve their academic excellence.

He also appealed to teachers to eschew all forms of negative practices that may tarnish the image of the teaching profession.
