Following his arrest on Tuesday, February 23, 2016, by the Ministries Police, embattled Chief of Ngleshie Amanfro, Nii Kwashie Gborlor IV, known in private life as Humphrey Dzartor Botchway, has been allegedly kept behind bars by the police for reasons best known to them.

Nii Kwashie Gbolor was arrested for allegedly raping a 20-year-old girl in his house at Amanfro in the Ga South Municipality of the Greater Accra region.

Several hours after his arrest, Nii Kwashie Gbolor, who was expected to appear before court yesterday morning could not make it due to some strange reasons.

Information available to this paper indicated that a minister of state (name withheld) together some top NDC gurus were alleged to be delaying the process.

Due to that act, questions are being raised as to why government appointees and party officers will try to use their position to protect a suspected rapist.

Nii Kwashie Gborlor IV after allegedly raping the girl also threatened to kill her if she ever revealed anything of the sordid experience she had with him to any third party.

But the victim (name withheld), who could not keep the horrifying ordeal to herself in spite of the threat, subsequently lodged a complaint at the Domestic Violence and Victims Support Unit (DOVVSU) of the Ghana Police Service at the Ministries Police Station in Accra for the law to take its course.

The victim in her caution statement explained that she was raped by the so-called chief of Ngleshie Amanfro.
Medical examination report revealed the presence of warts and bruises at different levels of healing in the vaginal walls, which, according to the examination report, were consistent with rape or forced sexual intercourse.

An emotionally charged family member, Nii Kwame Yedu II, who spoke on behalf of the family, minced no words in stating that they would ensure that the self-styled Chief of Ngleshie Amanfro, Nii Kwashie Gbolor, is made to face the full rigours of the law.

Nii Kwame Yedu II also appealed to the Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Nana Oye Lithur, the First Lady, Lordina Mahama, and the Inspector General of Police (IGP), John Kudalor, to use their good offices to ensure that justice is delivered.
