Chief appeals to government for collaboration

Nana Nyamikeh Allimah II, Chief of Bobrama in the Ellembelle District, has appealed to the Government to partner chiefs to push the country's development agenda forward.

He has therefore asked chiefs, especially those in Nzema, to forge ahead in unity to foster development.

Nana Allimah said as traditional rulers they owed it a sacred duty to play a pivotal role to enhance the decentralization process.

Nana Allimah said this in a New Year message when he granted audience to the Ghana News Agency at Bobrama.

He said unity would afford them the opportunity to present a common front to government to spearhead development of the area.

He appealed to the members of parliament and district chief executives of Nzema to collaborate with the chiefs to chart a common path for development.

Nana Allimah asked government to employ more Nzemas, especially the youth, in the oil and gas industry and advised the youth to educate themselves and acquire the relevant skills to meet requirements of the industry.
