Change attitude towards national development

Kumasi, Aug 8, GNA - The General President of Rosicrucian Fellowship Centres of Ghana, has admonished Ghanaians to refrain from activities that thwart efforts to harness the nation's potentials. Dr Mathew Kyei, a private medical practitioner, who made the admonition, reiterated that God had endowed the nation with rich natural and human resources but Ghanaians' disregard for laws of causes and effects had plunged the nation into poverty.

He was speaking at the Open Day of the Kumasi branch of the Fellowship at New Suame in Kumasi on Sunday.

The programme was designed to allow interaction between the leadership of the Fellowship and the public with the view to enlightening them on what the Fellowship stood for and their mission statement.

Dr Kyei pointed out that successive change of governments would do very little to change the nation's fortune if the people did not change their negative attitude towards national development. He challenged the nation's leaders to be patriotic and God-fearing in their endeavours so as to accelerate the country's pace of development.

Dr Kyei also called on the people to eschew hatred, tribalism, disrespect for the Constitution, lawlessness and intolerance so as to have a new direction for a better Ghana. 08 Aug. 05
