The Paramount Chief of the Anfoega Traditional Area and President of the Volta Regional House of Chiefs, Togbe Tepre Hodo IV, has commended the ruling government for its policies and governance during its first few months in office.

According to him, he is convinced that the government’s resetting agenda is well underway, stating that the stability of the cedi, fuel price management, among other factors, are clear evidence of this progress.

Togbe Tepre Hodo IV made this known when the Volta Regional House of Chiefs paid a courtesy visit to President John Dramani Mahama and Vice President Prof Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang at the Jubilee House on Thursday, July 31, 2025.

“Your Excellency, we are also here to acknowledge and to encourage you to continue with the good work you have been doing so far in terms of steering the ship of state. There is stability of the cedi, inflation has gone down, fuel prices are more manageable now and we thank you very much for all of these.

“We also wish to thank you for the recent National Education Forum, which was established and which will assist in improving on the quality of education of the nation. These are positive signs that the reset agenda has started working,” he said.

Togbe Tepre Hodo IV also expressed his gratitude to President Mahama, particularly for ensuring that the Volta Region was not overlooked in his ministerial appointments.

He, however, expressed hope that the appointees will live up to expectations and fulfill their mandate for the country’s development.

“We have followed very keenly the appointments that you have made from the Volta region and, we are happy and impressed about the number of appointees in your government. We are hopeful that they will acquit themselves creditably in order to bring honor not only to the Volta region, but to Ghana as a whole,” he added.
