Mr Samuel Nii Aryetey Attoh, Ga District Chief Executive, who was speaking at the two-day meeting of the Amasaman District Assembly at Amasaman, said a 170.2 million-cedi teaches' accommodation would also be completed for the community by the end of September 2003. He said 150.2 million cedis has so far been spent on the project. Mr Attoh said farmers in the District would also benefit from a cashew development project, which is being funded by the Government and the African Development Bank.

He said the project would enhance food security at the household level and improve incomes of farmers and thereby reduce poverty in the area.

So far farmers have established about 80 hectares of cashew farms. Communities to benefit include Bodumase, Mayera, Manhie, Samsom Odumase, Ashamoah and Krokroshi.
