CCFC donates PPE to North East Gonja District

Christian Children’s Fund of Canada (CCFC), an international non-governmental organization, on Monday donated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to three health centres in the North East Gonja District of the Savannah Region.

The PPE, valued at Gh¢29,814.00, were presented to the Kpalbe Health Centre, Daboashie CHPS, and Kpinchilla CHPS in the District, to help in the fight against the COVID-19 in the area.

The three health centres received quantities of PPE including infrared thermometer guns , batteries, hand sanitizers, liquid soap, surgical masks, nose masks, shield, disinfectants, disposable gloves, disposable gowns, doctors scrubs (overall), goggles, spirit, tissue and Veronica buckets with fabricated stands.

Mr Samuel Sabuli, Programmes Officer at CCFC Ghana, presenting the items on behalf Madam Christelle Kahoule, West Africa Director at CCFC, attestd to the fact that the North East Gonja District was a new district, faced with several challenges and said the intervention was to help the district in the fight against COVID-19.

He acknowledged efforts of health workers in these facilities and government for their roles so far in helping fight the novel disease, and urged the beneficiary health centres to effectively use the PPE to carry out their duties with the needed protection.

Mr Titus Nii Teiko Tagoe, North East Gonja District Director of Health, who received the items on behalf of the health centres, commended the CCFC for the intervention and gave the assurance that the beneficiaries would be educated on the effective use of the PPE.
