Busunya and Dromankese schools' blocks handed over

Dromankese (B/A), Dec. 27 GNA - Mr James Kwabena Appiah-Awuah, Nkoranza District Chief Executive, has urged community and opinion leaders to ensure the routine maintenance of completed development projects. He gave the advice in a speech read for him at the joint handing over ceremony of new school blocks at Busunya and Dromankese.

The school blocks estimated at 2.9 billion cedis formed part of the phase -three of the Government's Promotion of District Capital Projects (PRODICAP) in the towns. The beneficiary schools under the programme were Busunya Anglican Junior Secondary School (JSS); Dromankese Seventh-Day Adventists (SDA) JSS; Dromankese L/A JSS and Dromankese Anglican Primary "A" and "B" schools.

Mr Appiah-Awuah reminded the people that development projects initiated by the Government were the properties of the people and as such it was their responsibility to take good care of them. He urged the Schools Management Committees and Unit Committees to help to plant trees on schools' compounds to act as windbreaks. Mr Felix Joe Appiah, Assembly Member for Dromankese-Ahenbronomu and Mr Amoah Darko Bediako, Chairman of the Town Council, appealed to the District Assembly to extend electricity to the schools. Present were Nana Ohene Aboagye, Nifahene of Dromankese and the Queenmother Nana Ampomah Baabeaa.
