Business Advisory Centre to be established in Bibiani

The Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai District Assembly is to establish a Business Advisory Centre at Bibiani to assist in promoting economic activities towards job creation, improved efficiency, increased profit and poverty alleviation in the district.

This, forms part of government's measures to ensure the effective implementation of its private-sector-led development strategy under the Golden Age of Business initiative.

Mr Christopher Addae, the District Chief Executive (DCE), said these at a ceremony to mark the 46th anniversary of Ghana's Independence Day at Bibiani.

The DCE said the Social Relief Fund would be released soon for disbursement to eligible persons through the rural banks to enhance economic activities in the area.

Mr Addae advised beneficiaries of government loans to repay them to enable others to have access to such assistance.

The Omanhene of the Sefwi Anhwiaso Traditional Area, Osenkesee Ogyeahoho Nana Yaw Gyebi, advised people in the private sector to establish more business enterprises to supplement the government's efforts at creating jobs.

In another development, the last batch of Unit Committees of the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai District Assembly was inaugurated at Subri and Sefwi-Wenchi near Bibiani.

Mr Addae noted that they formed the bedrock for Ghana's democratic process and called on the people to support committee members.

He said they have also assisted in ensuring effective administration at the grassroots level.
