“Betty Mould – Iddrisu Still Shines Despite Npp Attacks”- Yammin

Joseph Yammin, the Ashanti regional Secretary for the ruling political party says that the largest opposition, the NPP is capitalizing on the ongoing Waterville/Government of Ghana judgment debt issue to misinform electorates and incite them against the NDC in next year’s election.
He believes the NPP is once again showing its desperation for power through their stance and utterances on this issue.
In a press statement, the NDC scribe said there have been several high profile contracts which were abrogated by the NPP in their eight-year reign and it all came with huge costs which the NPP settled when in power.
“A typical example is the abrogation of the Contract between the Ghana Telecom (now Vodafone Ghana) and the Malaysian Telecommunication Company when the NPP assumed Power. This betrayal of Contract cost Ghana huge sums of money because the Malaysians dragged the Republic of Ghana to the International court of Justice. The court awarded huge cost to the Malaysians and this was paid by Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo as the Minister of justice”, he said.
He further opined that the NPP hierarchy has zeroed the fight down to Betty Mould -Iddrisu and are calling for her removal from office because “her contribution to the Ashanti region is immeasurable and has in recent times caused panic in the ranks of the NPP”.
Joseph Yammin believes the NDC is winning the 2012 elections in the Ashanti region with Betty Mould –Iddrisu championing such a victory.
He says her activities in the region have generated a lot of excitement amongst the people of Ashanti, adding that she is such an inspirer to women’s participation in the leadership and the governing process of Ghana.
“Ashanti Region has witnessed unprecedented infrastructural development in the educational sector under the leadership of Hon. Betty Mould-Iddrisu. We have seen more school blocks in our second-cycle institutions and the elimination of several schools under trees to the extent that the Minority leader in parliament and MP for Suame constituency, Hon. Osei Kyei Mensah-Bonsu inaugurated 6 different school blocks in the Suame Constituency recently”, the statement said.
He says the people of the Ashanti region will look up to Betty Mould-Iddrisu and vote for President Mills next year.
