Ban The Use Of Ethinc Derogatory Terms ...

...OR TRIBALISTIC SLURS - SAYS "OSAGYEFO" KWAME BOATENG

The 2004 CPP Parliamentary Candidate for Nhyiaeso Constituency in Kumasi, Ashanti Region, "Osagyefo" Kwame Appiah Boateng, alias Kwame Mayor has publicly appealed to Parliamentarians to enact Laws banning the use of ethnic derogatory terms or tribal slurs which debase humanity; cause pain and suffering and leave bitterness, thus affecting the Nation's development and pea! ce efforts.

The first Ghanaian born to symbolically run for Mayor of Los Angeles says since in America the debasing "N' word is not entertained on the airwaves, he is appalled that some people are so insensitive and use debasing terms on the airwaves to describe members of other ethnic groups.

The Royal Politician from the Ashanti Puduo family of Bamang, near the Kente weaving Town of Bonwire, in the Ashanti Region whose ancestors occupied the Kumasi Adontenghene Chieftaincy or Stool for years appealed to the Chiefs, Elders and people of every Ethnic group or tribe in Ghana to come out with acceptable or preferred terms they would like to be officially called.

"Osagyefo" Kwame Boateng who has Pan-Africanist credentials, says Parliament should ban the "B", "T", "N" and "C or J", etc debasing words which some of the ethnic groups in the Country are referred to.

"Osagyefo" Kwame Boateng also asked Parliament to pass a Law banning the use of the "J" debasing word which is used to refer to people of white and black background.
