Baba Jamal commends Volta Region for being less problematic

Ho, June 09, GNA - Mr Baba Jamal, a Deputy Minister of Information, on Thursday commended the people of the Volta Region for giving less "problem" to the government.

"We have less agitation and disturbances from the Volta Region and we can only be grateful to the people," he said.

Mr Jamal gave the commendation when he paid a courtesy call on Mr Joseph Amenowode, Volta Regional Minister, during his official visit to the Region.

His visit is basically to monitor government information, diffuse the seeming tension between Assemblies, Ministries and the Information Services Department and to launch the 93Branding Ghana from inside" project.

Mr Jamal lauded the Regional Minister for 93keeping his hands on the dial" resulting in the 93not too many outcries against the government."

Mr Jamal said the peaceful nature of the Region has positioned it for rapid socio-economic development and urged stakeholders to maintain the relative peace in the Region.

Mr Amenowode described the Region as the most peaceful and friendly in the country, adding 93no wonder we are developing a robust tourism industry."
