Atwima Kwanwoma Rural Bank Managers go to school

Branch managers, business development staff and customer clerks of the Atwima Kwanwoma Rural Bank Ltd have undergone a two-day intensive training programme on effective ways of marketing financial services at the Bank?s head office at Pakyi No. in the Ashanti Region.

The training programme which brought together the entire branch managers of the bank was intended to help managers of the Bank to gain much more insightful knowledge in marketing of financial services and how to retain, grow and research into new markets.

The course instructor, Mrs. Josephine Adams, who is the head of Non-Financial Department of Sinapi Aba Trust Limited, took participants through effective ways of marketing financial products, customer care and understanding the needs of micro finance clients.

The CEO of the Bank Mr Godfred Odame Asare told B&FT in an interview that there were quite a number of training programmes outlined by the Bank to sharpen the skills of the entire staff of the Bank especially officers who offer direct customer service.

?We are tired of being rated the best rural bank in the country we want to move up high to compete with other financial institutions and micro finance providers worldwide,? he emphasised.

In an interview, the Public Relations Officer of the bank, Mr. Ike Tandoh a participant of the training programme said the programme would go a long way to a equip staff to deliver professional services to customers.
