Assemblyman hints of banning 'Kukum Bhagya'

The Assemblyman for Kibi Ahenbronomu Electoral Area, Hon. Kwame Asiedu Bekoe has placed a ban on the watching of Kukum Bhagya by children of Kibi. According to him, the children have been failing their exams since they spend most of their exams since they spend most of their time watching the said programme and also repeated version the next day.

Hon. Bekoe bemoaned the manner in which the way pupils abandoned class all in the name of this popular telenovela and has vowed to put in a stop to it. The pupils he indicated must concentreate on their studies and further parents to ensure that their wards pay attention to their studies.

Speaking in an interview with Nyankonton Mu Nsem, he added that it is not only the telenovela taking the attention of students in the area but jackpot, game centreswhich he warned will soon be banned in the area.

Hon. Kwame Asiedu Bekoe warned that he will soon go round the electoral area and lash any pupil he sees at these game centres.

"Kukum Bhagya is spoiling our kids in this electoral area. They don't concentrate on their studies. They are failing their exams because of this telenovela. I want to ban children of school going age from watching this programme on television. I want all parents to prevent their children from devoting their time watching telenovela and concentrate on their books.''
