The Assemblyman of Elmina Electoral Area, Samuel Clearance, was arrested in the early hours of Thursday, 18 January for defecating in an unauthorised place.

A task force arrested five persons in total, including the Assemblyman, during their rounds at Dentsido, a suburb of Elmina in the Komenda-Edina-Aguafo Abrem Municipality (KEEA) in the Central Region.

Municipal Environmental Health Officer, Mr Alex K. Damptey, confirmed the arrest to Class91.3FM’s Central regional correspondent Raymond Kwofie and added that the five persons, including the Assemblyman, have been handed over to the Elmina Police for prosecution.
