Aspiring Assembly Member unveils plans

Sunyani (B/A) Oct. 1, GNA - Mr Adonten Kusi, a 39 year-old carpenter aspiring to contest the Assembly Member position for Ahenboboano Electoral Area in the Sunyani Municipality on Friday said he would ensure that the area enjoyed its fair share of development if voted for.

He said he had realised that the current Assembly Member had failed to meet the expectations of the people and the area's development had lagged behind hence there was a need for a change. In an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Sunyani, Mr Kusi outlined the development programmes he intends to embark on if elected and mentioned the construction of the drainage channels, tarring of the inter-community roads and ensuring that the project for the Victoria Park was executed.

"I would trace all documents relating to the execution of the project and make all necessary arrangements that would ensure the project is carried out. The project involves converting the park into a parking lot that would create employment opportunities for some of the area's youth who are unemployed.

"This would be done with the support of the Sunyani Municipal Assembly," he added. He promised to rehabilitate the Abonsuam Well to serve Area One and Zongo communities. The aspiring Assembly Member said he planned to organise regular forums to solicit the views of community members to be included in development plans and urged people to vote for him.
