Aspiring Assembly Member outlines vision

Rev Seth Ameyaw Danquah, an aspiring District Assembly Member for the Essikafo-Ambantem No. 2 Electoral Area in the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly (STMA) in the Western Region has highlighted plans to build an informed and empowered community when given the nod to represent the area after the December 17 elections.

According to him, his mission would be to inform residents on programs and opportunities so they can take advantage to better their lives.

He disclosed that his focus will be centered on what he termed as “ten point agenda” such as excellent leadership, job creation, employment, wealth creation, security, sanitation, sensitization, administrative office, proper collaboration and accountability.

The pastor turned politician gave the hint when he officially launched his campaign to share his manifesto with the electorates in order to make good decisions before voting.

According to him, he will provide proactive, productive and effective leadership; organize trade clinics and training in entrepreneurship for interested members and lead them to where they can obtain support to establish their businesses.

He also plans to build capacity of the unemployed youth in the area with to be profitable on the job market and also link them to companies for employments.

He would organize training on personal and business finance management for individuals and traders to improve on their personal finance and businesses, institute a Community Watch Dog Committee to provide security at night with some relief items and monthly stipends.
