Asikuma Office of Stool Lands making peace and money

The Asikuma Office of the Administrator of Stool Lands has settled 17 land disputes and established 32 separate bank accounts for communities in the Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa District since its inception in 2009.

Mr Samson K. Acquah, Central Regional Liaison Officer of Stool Lands, who disclosed this to the GNA in an interview, said the administration has been organising periodic seminars to educate local traditional ruler on the objectives of the department to sustain their heritage.

He expressed hope that, with the support and cooperation of the assembly, traditional rulers and the Police, more internally generated revenue from stool lands could be mobilised.

He said, the Asikuma Stool Lands administration has played a major role in supporting Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa District Assembly in renovating and rehabilitating the local District Police quarters.

Mr Acquah, called on the people to patronize their offices at Cape Coast, Twifo Praso, Dunkwa-on-Offin, Assin Foso, Agona Swedru, Awutu-Senya-Kasoa all in the Central Region to resolve land cases that are pending before the courts.**
