Kumasi, Sept. 23, GNA - Ashfoam Company Limited, manufacturers of foam mattresses and cushions on Tuesday presented ten billboards estimated at 28 million cedis to the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA). The billboards, which have the telephone numbers of the Police Service, the Fire Service and the Ambulance service on them, were expected to provide easy access to these services in times of need and emergencies.

Mr David Agbemabiase, the Ashanti Regional Marketing Manager of the company, who presented the items to the KMA, said the gesture of the company was to support the fight against crime in the metropolis. He noted that crime prevention should be the responsibility of all and to make for the easy and quick identification of the telephone numbers of these important agencies, they had been written with reflective paint.

Mr Agbemabiase said being the leaders in the production of foam in the country the company would continue to honour its social responsibility to the society.

Mr Albert A. Ampong, KMA Co-ordinating Director, who received the billboards on behalf of the assembly, expressed appreciation to the company for its concern towards crime prevention.

He said the telephone numbers on the boards would greatly assist in the effort to fight crime as well as quick response to fire and accidents.

Mr Ampong gave the assurance that the billboard will be erected at vantage points where they can easily be seen.
