Appiah confirmed as candidate to contest NPP seat in Bawku

West Constituency.

Zebilla (U/E), Feb. 24, GNA- Mr. Moses Abaare Appiah, Bawku West District Chief Executive (DCE) was on Monday confirmed as NPP's candidate for the parliamentary seat in December elections. All the 75 delegates in Zebilla approved of the candidature of Mr. Abaare.

The General secretary of the party, Mr. Dan Botwe expressed satisfaction with the trend of affairs and urged them to educate the constituents to vote massively for the NPP.

He said as chairmen they represented the President and Mr. Appiah at their various electoral areas and that they must ensure that the campaign is carried to all the corners of the constituency.

Mr. Botwe appealed to them to be present at all the polling stations during the registration exercise to ensure fair registration of voters, saying if all the strategies the party is putting in place go well, the NPP is sure to win 140 seats out of the 200 Parliamentary seats.

The Upper East Regional Minister, Mr. Mahami Salifu, pledged his support for Mr. Appiah's nomination.

He assured the party and Mr. Appiah that he would do everything he could to enable him to win the seat.

Mr. Salifu said Mr. Appiah's victory in the constituency would be booster to the Party's strength in the area.

Mr. Appiah pledged that he would not let the party down, and that he was sure the people would vote for him.
