Apam Secondary School tutors resume classes

Apam (C/R), Dec. 2, GNA - Tutors of Apam Secondary School have resumed classes after embarking on a sit-down strike in a protest against the refusal of their headmistress, Mrs Esther Hamilton, to hand-over the administration of the school to a new headmaster. Mrs Hamilton was to have retired on October 1, this year.

The resumption of classes followed official introduction of a new headmaster, Mr Archibald Fuah to the staff by Mr Michael Nsowah, Acting Director-General of Ghana Education Service last Monday.

When the Ghana News Agency visited the school on Tuesday, there was a complete order in the school with students and tutors busily participating in the teaching and learning process. The new headmaster was not present at the time of the visit and his assistant Mr David Aning-Yebo took GNA round.
