Annor-Yeboah visits home region

Sunyani, Aug. 13, GNA- The Reverend Augustine Kwabena Annor-Yeboah, former General Secretary of Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) on Tuesday declared that he bore no grudge against anybody in his former church. I do not feel any bitterness in me because I believe in democracy and the results of the election for the chairmanship of the church was an indication that my work at CAC had come to an end, he told members of CAC who defied a downpour to welcome him to Sunyani.

Rev Annor-Yeboah who hails from Dormaa-Ahenkro in Brong Ahafo, said he was in his home region to launch his new church, Christian Praise International Centre (CPIC), which he said, was registering thousands of members throughout the country.

Accompanied by a host of former pastors of CAC, Rev Annor-Yeboah said the church was growing in leaps and bounds.

The former CAC General Secretary said "the church needs a strong revival now for the second coming of Christ", adding that his objective was to ensure that more souls were saved.

He explained that he did not retire from the CAC "only to form my church, but to embark on a new mission for the achievement of this goal", dismissing the speculation that he had set up the new Church because he was peeved over his defeat in the elections for the chairmanship of CAC.
