Ampaw has taken a swipe on media practitioners who engage themselves in active party politics

Media Law Lecturer and a legal practitioner, Maurice Ampaw has taken a swipe on media practitioners who engage themselves in active party politics.

Reacting to the current media impunity and intemperate languages compelling the BNI to caution media owners and practitioners in an interview on Pink Fm's Morningshow, Omanbapa Kasa with KOJ, the lawyer opined that it is long over due we pass a broadcast law as a country in order to sanitize the media.

"I think is long overdue especially during this time that most ;political figures own media houses...they do nothing good there too, they don't push the nation's agenda but rather they are now using their media houses as propaganda tools and pushing their own agenda" He said.

He also added that we should barre media practitioners from doing active politics like the chiefs have been barred and that should be backed by law.

"The NMC, NCA and GJA have woefully failed, they are cowards...journalists should be barred from active politics, like Abeiku Santana and one Mustapha Innusah (Nii Attractive) formerly of the Despite group are doing...shame, you quit journalism because of politics, are they stomach journalists?" Dr. Maurice Ampaw emphasized.

According to the lawyer he has concrete information that, the duo have been bribed by John Mahama to resigned and that's why Mustapha Inusah was bold enough to grant interviews that he has resigned for mahama and that he will not be shocked if abeiku Santana also follows up.

Mustapha Inusah (Nii Attractive )a journalist with the Despite Group had recently resigned and is believed to be championing President Mahama's agenda.
