Ama Sey donates motorbikes, computers to Denkyembour district education office

The Member of Parliament for Akwatia Constituency, Hon. Mercy Adu Gyamfi aka Ama Sey has donated laptops, desktop computers, swivel chairs and motorbikes to Denkyembour district education office in the Akwatia Constituency.

These items are to be distributed to needy schools to enhance academic work of teachers as well as pupils.

She was assisted during the presentation by the constituency executives and was witnessed by dignitaries at the Education Office.

Handing over to the Human Resource Manager at the Education Office, she explained the computers are meant to assist in the teaching and learning of information communication technology (ICT).

She drew attention on the need for the constituency to aggressively work towards promotion of computer literacy which is a key agenda of the NPP government. This, she said was necessary to enable the country to keep pace with globalization.

She said the motorbikes to the circuit supervisors are to be used for monitoring that will ensure enhancement and higher standard in teacher-pupil education.

Subsequently, she made a promise to build a pavilion for the education office to ease office accommodation problems the current space is challenged with.

Receiving the items, the Human Resource Manager, Mr Klukpui Winfred thanked the MP for her kind gesture and immense contribution to education in the district.

He urged the beneficiaries to take good care of the items.

He advised his colleagues to support the MP in prayers and do everything humanly possible so she can go higher and be able to do more for education and the constituency.
