Ahafo-Ano North DHIS takes off in April this year

Tepa (Ash), Feb. 15, GNA-Mr. Jackson Michael Mensah, the Ahafo-Ano North District Mutual Health Insurance Manager, has stated that all the necessary structures are being put in place for registered members of the scheme to start enjoying the benefits by April 1.

Mr Mensah said this in a press briefing on Monday at Tepa on the state of the scheme in the district.

He said the registration of members ended in January 31 this year and the district management team has started taking the photographs of the over 7,000 registered members for processing the identification cards for them.

He said many people who initially delayed in joining the scheme because of political and other socio-economic reasons rushed to register with the scheme after the general elections and the Christmas festivities.

Mr. Mensah mentioned attempts by some people who tried to register the children of other people as the major problem that hindered the registration and called on all stakeholders to support the management to come out with credible and reliable data to avoid fraudulent deals.
