Agricultural Development Bank to open Ho branch soon

Ho, Nov. 27, GNA - The Agricultural Development Bank (ADB) will soon open a branch in Ho under a service expansion programme, Mr John Kwaku Debrah, Chief Manager, Agricultural Credit Department of the Bank has announced.

He was answering questions after delivering a paper on the Bank's products and credit line at an investment conference to spur development of the Volta Region.

The Bank has only three branches in the Volta Region at Juapong in the North-Tongu District, Denu in the Ketu District and Hohoe in the Hohoe District.

Mr Debrah said the Ho branch would start operation as soon as negotiations for the purchase of an office block was completed.

He said there were plans to upgrade agencies of the bank at Kete-Krachi and Nkwanta as soon as the Bank of Ghana gave the go ahead.

The Investment Conference was organised by Compass Ventures, an Accra based private organisation, in collaboration with the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Presidential Initiatives (PSI) and the Volta Regional Coordinating Council (VRCC).

During the three-day conference papers were presented on available resources, investment opportunities and drawbacks.
