Agbogbomefia calls for proper time management

Ho, Oct. 1, GNA- Togbe Afede XIV, Agbogbomefia of the Asogli State, called for proper time management and the elimination of corruption to enable Ghana to realise its developmental aspirations. The traditional ruler made the call at a grand durbar in Ho on Saturday, to climax the Asogli Yam festival, celebrated under the theme: "Attitudianl Change for the next 50 years."

The colorful gathering was graced by the Vice-President Alhaji Aliu Mahama who was the guest of honour, the Okyenhene Amoatia Ofori Panyin, Togbe Agorkorli of Nortsie in Togo and some chiefs from the Volta Region.

Togbe Afede said any country blessed with resources would needed the commitment of its leaders and people to become a prosperous nation and urged Ghanaians to change their attitude to work. He said leaders should be assessed by their ability to improve the lives of the people and urged leaders to set good examples for the citizenry.

"Our leaders must show the right examples so that they would be able to inculcate virtue into younger generations." Alhaji Aliu Mahama said the government's developmental agenda was on track and that the challenge however was how to continuously improve upon the quality of life of the people.

He urged the people of Asogli State to unite and work hard towards the rapid development of the area
