Afram Plains South: 55-year-old man dies in wild bee attack

A middle-aged man has died after he was attacked by swarm of bees which stung him mercilessly all over his body.

The incident occurred around 1:00 pm on Wednesday 28th November, 2018 when a local farmer hired the deceased to carry maize with his tricycle from his farm at ‘Kyemfere’, a community in the Afram Plains South District of Eastern Region.

The deceased whose name was only given as Master Gazaare was said to be accompanied by five others including the owner of the maize.

A brother in law, Mr James Beacou narrating the incident to Agoo News’ Ebenezer Kojo Nyavor (K-Lover) said the bees attacked the people, five minutes just after they had arrived and were loading the maize onto the tricycle.

According to him, the other five were able to escape the attack but the fifty five year old man who was struggling to flee couldn’t make it leading to his unfortunate death.

The body of the deceased was transported to Donkorkrom where the family lives.

The deceased is said to be married to more than one wife with a number of children in both Donkorkrom in the Afram Plains North and Kyemfere in the Afram Plains North.
