Adaklu SHS secures GH¢43,037 three-unit classroom-block

Adaklu Waya (V/R), Dec. 7, GNA - Mr Michael Kobla Adzaho, Adaklu Anyigbe District Chief Executive has inaugurated a GH¢43,037 three-unit=

classroom block fitted with ceiling fans for Adaklu Senior High School at=

Adaklu Waya. The project initiated by Adaklu University Students Union was adopted b= y the District Assembly. Mr Adzaho, said government had awarded a contract for the construction of a 12-unit classroom block, a dormitory and a two-bedroom semi detached bungalow for Adaklu Senior High School (SHS) and a dining hall for Agorti= me SHS at Adaklu-Waya and Kpetoe under the Ghana Education Trust Fund. He, however, lamented the reluctance of parents to send their childr= en to school despite the numerous interventions by government in the educational sector to make education affordable and available to many children. Mr Adzaho warned those recalcitrant parents that they risked being prosecuted for flouting the law. Mr Adzaho said a number of roads in the district including the Ho-Dzakp= o, Abuadi-Torda, Akuete-Ablornu roads would be upgraded to open up the area. the building on behalf of the school said the facility was timely and wou= ld be used to enhance teaching and learning. Togbe Gbogbi Atsa V, Paramount Chief of Adaklu Traditional Area urged government to provide the school with a tractor and agriculture implement= s to reflect its agriculture bias.
