Abandoned project revived

Akim Nsutam, March 25, GNA - Members of Akim Nsutam Methodist Church, have decided to resume work on their six-unit classroom block, which had been abandoned over five years ago.

Mr James Kwaku Tawiah speaking to the Ghana News Agency at Nsutam said the work was abandoned because of lack of funds, encroachment on the land and power struggle among the elders in the area. Mr Tawiah said the project was being revived because some of the earlier challenges had been resolved.

He said the project would be financed through voluntary contributions, fund raising activities and annual harvests. Mr Tawiah said the leadership of the church had decided that women would be made to contribute GH¢5.00 per head whilst men would contribute GH¢10.00 per head and all members would support the project with communal labour.
