66,171 voters registered in Nkoranza district

Nkoranza (B/A), April 12, GNA - A total of 66,171 eligible voters in Nkoranza district of Brong-Ahafo registered their names during the recent voter registration exercise.

Mr Kwabena Asante, District Electoral Officer, told Ghana News Agency at Nkoranza at the weekend that 42,426 voters registered in the Nkoranza South constituency while 23,745 did so in the Nkoranza North constituency.

He said the District had 73,306 voters as at the year 2002. Busunya has been earmarked as the centre for the Nkoranza North Constituency and Nkoranza for Nkoranza South Constituency.
